Medical massage is a certified treatment. This technique manipulates soft tissue of the body, muscle, connective tissue, tendons and ligaments using varying degree of pressure and movement.
Deep Tissue Massage
Deep tissue massage specifically targets fascial tissue between muscles layers, all the way to the periosteum (bone covering). This technique is effective for releasing muscle tension which patients may experience as a result of stress or injury. Deep tissue massage focuses on treatment of the deepest layers of muscle tissue, tendons and fascia, and helps to decrease inflammation, pain, stiffness, redness and swelling.
Swedish Massage
This full body relaxation massage uses long gliding strokes as well as deep kneading and stretching techniques. Swedish massage has long been hailed as an effective means for treating depression and anxiety disorders. During cold and flu season, Swedish massage can reduce toxins in the body and boost the immune system. Swedish massage also helps patients manage chronic pain.
Sports Massage
Sports massage is primarily preventative. This type of treatment is frequently administered to athletes before competitions, during playing seasons and after competitive events. Sports massage is effective for enhancing flexibility and is therefore used in pre-event preparation. This type of massage can also improve endurance and reduce recovery time after an injury occurs.
Prenatal
Our prenatal massage offers a gentle massage paying special attention to lower back, swollen hands and feet while placed in an appropriate position for comfort.
Hot Stone
Warm stones with light to moderate pressure to enhance deep restorative rest. Soothes mind, body and muscles. Increases circulation, improves tone and tranquility.
Cupping Therapy
Cupping therapy uses special cups that are placed onto skin to create suction to reduce inflammation, relieve pain, help with blood flow and well being. Can be accompanied with deep tissue.
Lymphatic Drainage Therapy
Compression treatment reduces swelling caused by a build up of lymph fluid (lymphedema). A combination of manual lymphatic drainage and congestive decompression therapy.

Aromatherapy ($2 additional)
Pick up to 3 essential oils to blend, or use one of Amarina's premade blends to give your senses an extra chance at relaxing and rejuvenating!
Gua Sha ($5 additional)
An ancient scraping technique, Gua Sha brings blood to the surface of an area and helps to stimulate a healing response. This speeds up the recovery process of those extra stiff areas!
Magnesium Oil ($5 additional)
Give your muscles some "umph" with a full body all organic Magnesium oil blend application! Magnesium oil is an antispasmodic and decreases stiffness.
Hot Stones ($20 additional)
Turn up the heat with a hot stone application, perfect for the Winter months or to penetrate deeper muscle fibers! This service add-on must be booked in advance.
Therapy Lengths
- 30 Minute Massage - Targeted area of pain or discomfort
- 45 Minute Massage - Targeted area of pain or discomfort with allowance to balance out the muscles
- 60/90 Minute Massage - Full body massage; targeted area of pain or discomfort with allowance to balance out of the muscles. This massage allows for more of a thorough relief.
Please keep in mind the time frames on massage - This allows for time to remove clothing to your comfort level and allows proper time to sanitize.

Cancellation Policy:
Here at Fruitport Chiropractic Center we have a 24 hour cancellation policy. Cancellations made with less than a 24 hour notice will be charged half the cost of the service. No call-no shows will be charged the full price of the service. We understand that emergencies happen, and sometimes a cancellation with less than 24 hours cannot be helped. As such, we will be understanding in those cases and allow for 1 missed appointment per year with no charge.
