Dr. Steve Szatkowski is a 1980 graduate of Ferris State University with a Bachelor of Public Health/Environmental Health. Dr. Steve has been a chiropractor since 1986 when he received his Doctor of Chiropractic (D.C.) degree from Life Chiropractic College.

In 1995 Dr. Steve completed a 300-hour training program in sports medicine and received certificate and diplomate status as a Certified Chiropractic Sports Physician (C.C.S.P.).

Since then, Dr. Steve has taken numerous courses in nutrition (most recently in Feb. 2024 with the completion of the Post Pandemic Factors Course from Ulan Nutritional Systems), wellness care approaches, and clinical neurology. In addition to conventional chiropractic care, he has brought new state-of-the-art technology to his practice with the addition of a cold light laser, percusser, EB-305 energy balancer, and computerized health assessment. He also utilizes a technique called Contact Reflex Analysis (C.R.A.) that allows him to tap into specific reflexes in the body and determine the type of clinical nutrition that is needed to help support the patient on his/her journey to health. He also attends seminars and training programs on a regular basis so that he will remain on the cutting edge of new techniques and technology in order to help his patients achieve optimal health.

With new approaches and technology coupled with his commitment to wellness and energy-based health care, Dr. Steve is committed to helping his patients live fuller and healthier lives.

Dr. Doug Chidester graduated from Palmer College of Chiropractic in February 2020, where he took extra seminars to further his knowledge in Chiropractic Care. Dr. Doug also graduated from Grand Valley State University with a Bachelor in Science degree with an emphasis on Clinical Exercise Science.  

Dr. Doug met his wife while living in Iowa. They have five animals, 2 dogs and 3 cats, who they spend all of their free time spoiling and spending time with. Dr. Doug and his family enjoy everything outdoors and he says, 'When we are not working, we are a family that is constantly on the go.'

Deanna is our Office Manager here at Fruitport Chiropractic Center! Deanna works the Front Desk helping our patients during their visit to our office, and she also works on insurance billing! Outside of work, Deanna is a wife and 'pet mom' to her two cats, Bonnie and Clyde, and bearded dragon, Groot. In her free time, Deanna enjoys spending time with family and friends, listening to music, and playing video games. Deanna and her husband also very much enjoy camping and exploring on weekends!

Enoch is Dr. Steve's dog and he joined the Fruitport Chiropractic Family in July 2023! Enoch is a Newfoundland and enjoys greeting patients, playing with his toys, and finding a nice, cool place to take a nap! Enoch brings a ton of love and fun to the office! 

Gunther and Gage are both German Shorthaired Pointers and visit the office normally on Tuesdays! Gunther enjoys greeting patients and collecting face sheets and other office supplies, while Gage prefers to Snooze and Stretch near the front desk or in Room 5! These two bring a ton of fun and love to our office! 

In their free time, Gunther and Gage love to hang out with their Mom and Dad (Dr. Doug) going on hikes and chasing quail!
